Alternative Method of Deleting a Microsoft Team

If you add a Microsoft Team to your course, but later change your mind and would rather use Teams Meetings instead, you can delete the Microsoft Team.

In the Microsoft Teams Desktop App, click on the Teams icon [1] and navigate to your Teams page [2]. Locate the team and scroll over it with your mouse. Click on the three horizontal dots [3] and select Delete team [4].

Deleting the team will remove it. Faculty and students will no longer have access.

I deleted my Microsoft Team but I've changed my mind and now I want to use one! What do I do?

If you delete your Microsoft Team, you can add a new one. Simply navigate back to Course Settings, add the Microsoft team 1], and click on Done [2].

A new team will be created. You will again receive a notification in your Microsoft Teams app that the team has been created.
